Nicky Gaston

Living amongst the Redwood forest provides constant inspiration from both the community and its surroundings. From the river that runs in my yard to the staggering trees and nature around me, I get constant motivation to illustrate the elements that surround me.

I currently live in Boulder Creek, California where I’m able to spend much of my time focusing on in-house and freelance Design. I have always had a heavy connection to the Santa Cruz Mountains in particular and its great history throughout time. Being in a peaceful and quiet environment with my supportive family has been extremely helpful to my focus while creating. I have spent the past 16+ years as an Illustrator and Wood Burner with a passion of combining both figurative & surrealist imagery.
